Bernard Horenbeek has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the Finance
Company La Nef since September 2017.
Graduated in psychology from the Free University of Brussels, Bernard Horenbeek began
his career in social action. He created help services for homeless people before participating
in the management of social policy inside of a ministerial office in Belgium. He discovered
the strength of solidarity finance. In 2008, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
of Crédal, a Belgian cooperative of solidarity finance.
In 2017, he joined La Nef as Chairman of the Executive Board.
Since 2009, he is also a member of the board of directors of the European Federation of
Ethical and Alternative Banks (FEBEA), based in Brussels.
